TVGA was retained to provide an on-street parking study for the St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center Complex main entrance area.
This parking study compared on-street parking demand in comparison to available spaces during peak hours. The comparison assisted in quantifying the amount of on-street parking spaces required within the study area and assessed the types of vehicles utilizing the existing parking spaces, which helped qualify the types of spaces (i.e. no standing, delivery only, 15-minute parking, etc.).
The study consisted of observing and documenting the on-street parking activity during AM, Mid-day and PM peak hours. A parking analysis/assessment was conducted to evaluate parking demand to capacity, illegal parking activity, and traffic/pedestrian circulation within the study area. The results of the parking analyses, recommended number of spaces, suggested parking design, parking plan, and signage improvements were presented.
