This project involved the complete reconstruction of 3.0 km of Main Street and Buffalo Street within the Village of Hamburg. Work included replacement of waterlines, sanitary and storm sewers with storm water treatment system units, and reconstruction of roadway with full depth superpave asphalt concrete pavement. In addition, 4 roundabouts were constructed, extensive landscaping and architectural elements were incorporated into the project including street lighting, imprinted colored concrete sidewalk, retaining wall/observation area and 2 green space park areas. Other work included demolition of 2 commercial buildings with asbestos abatement, removal and disposal of petroleum contaminated soils, traffic signal system replacement, traffic signs and pavement striping. This was a multi-phased A + B portion Project.
