TVGA Consultants partnered with the Erie County Industrial Development Agency (ECIDA) to address the continuing need for a competitive regional portfolio of shovel ready, developable land and marketable building stock. Our collaborative efforts focused on rapid product creation within the first ring suburbs of the City of Buffalo by prioritizing properties for action and/or funding allocation and developing strategic plans for high priority properties.

Our work involved a process including site evaluation and prioritization, and development of an action plan. Site evaluation included data collection and review, initial screening, evaluation of results, and selection of sites. TVGA conducted a strategic planning effort for the priority sites to develop an action plan that identified critical path steps for appropriately focusing resources. Issues addressed in the plan included funding, infrastructure improvements, environmental and regulatory requirements, flow of ownership and scheduling.

TVGA performed data gathering and site reconnaissance using available Geographic Information System data bases, performed on site observations of selected sites and held a round-table discussion of results with the ECIDA to further develop the site selection process and action plans.
