TVGA was retained to provide geospatial services for approximately 30,000 acres.   The project area includes property in the Towns of Clayton, Roaring Brook, Orleans, Lowville, Brownville, Jefferson County, and Lewis County, NY.

TVGA’s project consisted of Aerial Mapping and Digital Orthophotography.  Aerial photography was flown in the Spring of 2006, 2008 and 2010 at a scale of 1”=660’ (3960’ AMT) to make possible the creation of two-foot contour interval and digital orthophotography at a 1’ gpr.  In addition, TVGA collected planimetric data at a scale of 1”=100.’  Due to the remote locations of the areas, Airborne GPS was collected to supplement the ground control survey.  All the data was georeferenced to the NAD 83 NY Central horizontal datum and the NAVD 88 vertical datum.  All products were used as the base layers in the projects overall GIS.

Deliverables for the project included one (1) digital file in AutoCAD format, flight plan information and geo references digital ortho tiles in both tiff and MrSID formats.
