• Photogrammetric Site Survey

• Geotechnical Investigations and Analyses

• Fill Progression Analyses

• SEQR Evaluation

• Conceptual Plans

• Construction Estimates

The Allegany County Landfill Footprint occupies approximately 24 acres of a 290-acre site.  The landfill footprint consists of nine cells, three of which have received final cover and three more are nearing final grade.

TVGA was retained to provide professional services related to the preparation of a feasibility analysis to evaluate possible expansion alternatives for the facility.  Responsibilities include review of the County’s fill progress plan and fill rates, a historical review of the County’s 6 NYCRR Part 360 operating permits, and an evaluation of SEQRA (6 NYCRR Part 617) implications and requirements associated with potential expansion.

TVGA conducted a preliminary subsurface investigation and is developed conceptual plans and construction cost estimates for the potential expansion.  The results of the analysis were summarized in a report identifying the pros and cons of each alternative, the requirements necessary to progress the potential expansion in accordance with 6 NYCRR Parts 360 and 617, and the establishment of a project timeline.  It was subsequently decided that it would not be economically feasible to expand the landfill on the existing site.
