TVGA was retained by the NYSDOT as Project Engineer for the reconstruction or rehabilitation of six stormwater pumping stations at various locations in the immediate Buffalo area.

Final design included preparation of Final Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) for the reconstruction of the pump stations based on the findings presented in the Engineers Report. The work included total replacement of pumps, motors, switchgear and pump controls. Pump installations included duplex and triplex installations ranging from 75 hp to 200 hp. Structural rehabilitation/reconstruction, roof replacements, asbestos abatement, doors, piping, valves, heating, ventilating and lighting improvement, and the installation of new natural gas fired stand-by generation equipment was also included. TVGA prepared maintenance and protection of traffic schemes for the proposed construction -- provisions for maintaining service of the pump stations during the construction period and preparation of O&M manuals.

Professional services included topographic survey and mapping, preliminary and final design services, general services during construction, and resident inspection.
