JAMESTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE STORMWATER INSPECTION
Jamestown, NY
KEY PROJECT COMPONENTS: • Inspection of Stormwater Management Facilities and Erosion Control Features During Construction • Preparation of SWPPP Reports
The Environmental Protection Agency Phase I and Phase II Stormwater Regulations have required states to implement new permitting processes for stormwater management. Section 402 of the Clean Water Act requires any construction that disturbs more than one acre of land to have a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan prepared by a qualified professional and that a Notice of Intent must be filed for stormwater discharge. As experts in stormwater regulations, TVGA assists our clients in the preparation of stormwater management plans and assists with the required implementation of those plans through periodic inspections.
TVGA Consultants was retained by Carmina & Wood Architects P.C. to perform stormwater inspections at the Jamestown Community College campus in Jamestown, New York. The project involved the construction of two new student housing facilities and site work that encompassed approximately eleven acres. TVGA conducted 40 stormwater inspections during the 2007-2008 construction season.
