Purpose: To facilitate distribution of funds allocated for the advancement of water quality related projects.  Municipal water pollution control projects eligible for CWSRF low-interest financing include: wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance systems, combined sewer overflow abatement facilities, stormwater pollution abatement, energy efficiency initiatives, system security measures, or other projects that maintain, protect or improve water quality.  Projects eligible for DWSRF financing include: construction, rehabilitation, and upgrading of water treatment plants, transmission and distribution mains, storage facilities, pump stations, interconnections, and capital investments to improve security of drinking water systems.  Applicants must provide a CWSRF or DWSRF Pre-Application form and an engineering report or technical report to the appropriate agency.

Eligibility: NYS Governments, including: municipalities, local public authorities, local public benefit corporations, school districts, supervisory districts, Native American tribes residing in NYS, or any combination of the of the above.

Purpose: To assist communities with the purchase of vehicles and equipment to reduce amount of waste entering landfills.  The full application requires resolution, product specs, and recycling volume report.  The program will provide reimbursement for projects completed within five years of award.  Applicants should demonstrate how the equipment or project will increase the volume of recyclables, increase the number of people participating in recycling, expand the recycling program to include new materials, or otherwise improve the efficiency and/or capacity of the recycling program. Eligible equipment includes wood chippers, leaf vacuums, balers, trammels, stump grinders, dedicated recycling collection vehicles, storage and sorting containers, including curbside bins, and recycling facility construction.
