Purpose: To put more people on bicycles more often. Applications are accepted in two categories: facilities and advocacy. The facilities category is reserved for organizations whose missions are bicycle and/or trail specific. The advocacy category is open to organizations whose primary mission is bicycle advocacy. The Foundation seeks projects for paved trails, bike parks, mountain bike paths, BMX facilities, and large scale advocacy projects. Projects with limited impact, such as the installation of a small number of bike racks, are unlikely to be funded through the program.
