Wilton, NY

KEY PROJECT COMPONENTS:
• Survey and Mapping
• Feasibility Study
• Preliminary Design
• Construction Cost Estimates
• Public Meetings

TVGA is preparing preliminary design plans for the construction of a multi use path adjacent to two Town highways and one County Highway.  The total length of the path will ultimately be 1.55 miles. The trail would begin at the intersection of Carefree Lane and Northern Pines Road and extend westward, south of Northern Pines Road.  The trail would proceed west to Carr Road and continue along the eastern edge of Carr Road to its intersection with Jones Road.  The trail would then continue along the northern edge of Jones Road and terminate at Jodi Lane.  The trail is expected to be used by walkers, joggers, bicyclists, rollerbladers and other forms of non-motorized travel.

Constructing this trail will provide a public benefit by providing an alternate non- motorized mode of transportation as well as recreational opportunities for the over 2000  homes that would be connected by the complete trail system.  In addition, the trail system would provide connections to significant sites such as Dorothy Nolan elementary school, Gavin Park, and the McGregor Links Country Club.
