With capabilities ranging from environmental site assessments to the remediation of soil and groundwater, TVGA’s Environmental Division offers a full spectrum of environmental services to both public and private sector clients.
In order to provide our clients with maximum value, TVGA’s expertise extends beyond the scientific and engineering realms to address project funding, risk management and regulatory issues.
One of TVGA’s current focuses is on helping municipalities and private developers collaborate on brownfield redevelopment projects by taking advantage of the recently revised State brownfield programs; namely, the Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) and Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP).
On behalf of one our municipal clients, TVGA recently obtained an ERP grant for nearly $200,000 for the investigation of a 22-acre former refinery site. This grant will allow the municipality to develop an approved cleanup strategy and define the associated costs, information that could pave the way for a developer to step in and take advantage of the significant tax credits available for the cleanup and redevelopment of the property under the BCP.
